Menu Plan – Week 37

As September rolls around, we’re craving those cozy, comfort foods that remind us of cooler weather. While I try to eat seasonally, it can be a challenge when everyone has different tastes.

The leaves are starting to show hints of fall colors, and the temperature has dropped significantly. This is our first long weekend since July, and it’s the perfect time to relax at home. The Smallish Man isn’t feeling well today, so we’re taking it easy. His eczema is acting up, and his head is particularly itchy. A good soak with MCT oil helps soothe his scalp before a good scrub.

Husband tried his hand at making cheesecake cookies last night. Unfortunately, they turned out a bit misshapen, so we’ve been enjoying them frozen in bite-sized pieces. We’ve affectionately dubbed them ‘Salmonella cookies’ since he forgot to put the cream cheese away the night before.

Buck baked up a batch of chocolate chip cookies yesterday, and we’re still nibbling on them. They’re the perfect treat for a chilly day.
